Field Support Specialist
Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC and

ClarkPowell is looking for a field support specialist with experience working with audio visual, video conferencing and video production equipment. Position requires a professional manner with good organization and communication skills.
Position requirements are:
- Ability to read and understand 2D system schematic drawings
- Working knowledge of broadcast and production video and audio systems for servicing, system set up and commissioning
- Working knowledge of wired and wireless Ethernet systems and the ability to troubleshoot and configure network and firewall systems
- Working knowledge of video and audio conferencing systems and the ability to set up and commission Polycom, Tandberg and LifeSize systems
- Working knowledge of analog and digital video/audio systems and the ability to resolve EDID, DDC and HDCP issues within these systems
- Working knowledge of control systems and the ability to make touch panel and logic changes to systems in the field
- Working knowledge of video/audio over IP and the ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with the file transfers over IP based networks
- Working knowledge of digital signal processors as used in larger venue sound systems and the ability to configure and make changes to all DSP based processing and functionality
- ICIA CTS certified a plus
System Designer
Charlotte, NC
ClarkPowell is looking for a system designer with experience designing with audio visual, video conferencing and video production equipment. Position requires a professional manner with good organization and communication skills.
Position requirements are:
- Ability to work with ClarkPowell system sales staff and clients in order to assist with the design and implementation of broadcast/production and audio visual systems
- Working knowledge and proficiency with AutoCad for the development of 2D and 3D drawings for system schematics and mechanical layouts of equipment
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Crestron control system design and programming with regard to control logic development and touch panel design and layout
- Working knowledge and proficiency with modern audio digital signal processors with regard to DSP layout and configuration
- Working knowledge and proficiency with sound system acoustics with regard to microphone and speaker requirements and placement in sound system environments
- Working knowledge and proficiency with lighting system design for performance spaces and video conferencing systems
- Working knowledge and proficiency with video and audio conferencing systems with regard to specifying and providing designs for these systems
- Ability to fully commission video and audio conferencing systems in both ISDN and IP based environments with the ability to work with IT staff in order to identify and resolve firewall transversal issues
- Ability to fully commission all above systems
- ICIA CTS, CTS-D certified a plus
Lead Installer Position
RTP/Raleigh, NC, Charlotte NC, Columbia SC
ClarkPowell is looking for a highly skilled team player able to lead install crews on the installation of audio visual, video conferencing and video production equipment. Must have a professional manner and good communication skills. This position requires working closely with Project Managers, on-site contractors and the client to bring the job in on time and within budget.
Position requirements are:
- Minimum 5 years experience in AV installation.
- Ability to read schematics and blue prints.
- Must have high standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering and crimping.
- Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality.
- ICIA CTS, CTS-I certified a plus
Installer Position
RTP/Raleigh, NC, Charlotte NC, Columbia SC
ClarkPowell is looking for an installer with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Must have a professional manner and good communication skills.
Position requirements are:
- Minimum 2 years experience installing video production/data projection/professional home theater equipment, or interactive whiteboards (such as Smart Technologies).
- Must have high standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering and crimping.
- Good understanding of audio and video signal flow.
- Structural installation aptitude a must.
- ICIA CTS certified a plus
