Account Manager

Locations: Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Raleigh, NC

ClarkPowell is seeking sales professionals with a minimum of 3-5 years of "blow your socks off" selling success. Experience in the business-to-business Audiovisual Systems industry is a big plus but not a requirement. It is a requirement that you can formulate and manage "C" Level presentations for the technically complex systems we offer. You don't need to know how to design these systems; we have experts to do that. You do need to be technically savvy enough to understand the basic framework and how those pieces come together to create exceptional client experiences. More importantly, you need to have the vision necessary to help clients see beyond their limited concept of integrated audio visual solutions to the broader and fuller experience that professionally designed systems deliver.

The successful candidate is accustomed to prospecting for new clients and then managing the long-term business relationships that develop over years of repeat business. New business development is a critical factor for sales success, no matter what industry and ClarkPowell is no different, but the majority of our business comes from loyal clients that have looked to ClarkPowell for their audiovisual needs for many, many years.

Pro AV systems are high-ticket items with five, six and seven digit price tags and the compensation package we offer reflects this. We are offering a base + commission position with no cap, mileage reimbursement and an excellent benefit package.

Audio Visual Lead Technician

Locations: Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Raleigh, NC, Columbia, SC

ClarkPowell is looking for a highly skilled team player able to lead crews on the installation of professional audio visual equipment. Must have a professional manner with excellent communication skills, and take pride in your work.

This position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, sub contractors and our clients to complete the project to a high-quality, on time and within budget. Position requirements are:

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision
  • Minimum 5 years experience in AV installation
  • Ability to read and implement Electronic CAD designs
  • Ability to read building blue prints
  • Ability to motivate and manage staff and subcontractors
  • High standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering and crimping
  • Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality
  • Videoconference installation and configuration experience a plus
  • ICIA CTS, CTS-I certified a plus
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certified a plus

This position requires regional travel in North and South Carolina.


Audio Visual Technician

Locations: Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Raleigh, NC, Columbia, SC

ClarkPowell is looking for an audio visual technician with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Must have a professional manner, good communication skills and attention to detail. Position requirements are:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in commercial or residential audio visual installation, security systems installation, CCTV, structured cabling or electronics training in the military.
  • Must have high standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, crimping and structural installation.
  • This position requires regional travel in North and South Carolina. Will ride in a company van.
