ClarkPowell and Yealink Deliver New Corporate Collaboration Spaces

Extending a Proven AV Standard Across a New Corporate Space

Our client recently expanded its headquarters in  Greensboro, North Carolina, with a corporate restack. As part of the new floor buildout, ClarkPowell designed and installed audiovisual technology for two training rooms, two conference rooms, and a digital signage location in a social hub.

The project continues a long-standing relationship between ClarkPowell and the client’s corporate technology team. Over the years, ClarkPowell has supported the organization across multiple locations, delivering AV systems, service, and support for enterprise collaboration environments.

For this Greensboro headquarters project, the goal was to create collaboration and training spaces that aligned with the client’s existing Microsoft Teams Rooms standard while providing the flexibility, reliability, and remote manageability required by a modern workplace.

A Standardized Yealink Conferencing Platform

The client evaluated multiple conferencing technology options for its Microsoft Teams Rooms environments. With guidance from ClarkPowell, the organization selected Yealink as its conferencing standard because of the platform’s broad product range, system flexibility, remote management capabilities, and consistent user experience.

As a Yealink Premier Partner, ClarkPowell helped match the right Yealink solutions to each type of space, from streamlined conference rooms to more customized training environments.

The result is a conferencing ecosystem that is simple for users, manageable for IT, and supportable by ClarkPowell’s service team. The rooms are built around Yealink Teams Rooms systems, which means that the core conferencing devices are part of the same technology ecosystem. This allows the client’s IT team and ClarkPowell’s service and support team to remotely view room status, monitor devices, identify offline equipment, and address potential issues before they impact a meeting.
This is especially important as they plan to roll out the Yealink solution worldwide in late 2026 and into 2027. Yealink Cloud Management Service was a major selling point, giving their IT department remote access and visibility into these rooms across global locations.

That proactive support model is a major advantage for enterprise organizations. Instead of waiting for a user to report that something is not working, the technology gives support teams visibility into room health and device status in advance.

Custom Training Rooms Designed for Flexibility

The two training rooms on the sixth floor were designed as flexible spaces that support a variety of presentation, training, and collaboration needs. While the rooms follow the client’s broader Yealink conferencing standard, each training space required a custom solution based on room size, ceiling design, audio requirements, and how the rooms would be used.

Each training room includes two cameras. One camera is used to track the presenter, while the second camera can capture audience speakers as needed. The presenter tracking camera includes gesture control, allowing users to turn tracking on or off when needed. This is especially useful in training environments with more than one presenter or when the presenter wants more control over how the camera follows movement in the room.

The training rooms also include Yealink wireless presentation pods, allowing users to share content from a laptop without needing to connect directly at the table or lectern. This gives presenters a cleaner and more flexible experience, especially in rooms where multiple people may need to share content during a session.

Full Room Audio Coverage with Biamp Parlé

Audio was a critical part of the design, especially because each training room has a unique ceiling layout. ClarkPowell designed a custom audio solution for each room using Biamp Parlé microphones to provide full room microphone coverage for both presenters and audience participants.

In the larger training room, ClarkPowell also included voice lift to help ensure that speech is distributed clearly throughout the space. This allows participants anywhere in the room to hear the presenter more naturally while also supporting clear audio for remote attendees joining through Microsoft Teams.

The combination of Yealink conferencing technology and Biamp room audio creates an inclusive training environment where both in-room and remote participants can hear, see, and engage more effectively.

Yealink Conference Rooms Built for Easy Teams Collaboration

The two conference rooms were designed for everyday Microsoft Teams meetings with a focus on simplicity, consistency, and ease of use.

Each room includes a Yealink soundbar with integrated camera, microphone, and speakers. This all-in-one design provides a clean room setup while delivering the core functionality needed for high-quality video meetings.

To improve audio coverage and give users additional control, each conference room also includes a wireless microphone. This provides better pickup for participants seated farther from the display and allows easy muting during a call.

Users can share content directly from the room touch panel, and the rooms are also BYOD-capable, giving employees added flexibility when joining or hosting meetings.

Digital Signage in the Social Hub

In addition to the conferencing and training spaces, ClarkPowell installed a display for digital signage in the social hub.

The digital signage solution follows the client's corporate standard. ClarkPowell installed the display and connected it to the client network, allowing the internal IT team to load and manage its standard digital signage package.

This approach maintained consistency with the company’s existing digital signage strategy while ensuring the display was properly installed, connected, and ready for use.

A Long-Term AV Standard Built for Enterprise Collaboration

This project is one example of ClarkPowell’s long-standing role as an AV partner for a major corporate client across North America. Over the years, ClarkPowell has supported the organization with AV design, installation, standardization, and service across multiple cities

That long-term relationship gives ClarkPowell a strong understanding of the client’s technology standards, user expectations, IT requirements, and support needs. It also helps create consistency across spaces, which is essential for organizations managing collaboration technology at scale.

For the client, standardizing on Yealink Teams Rooms systems provides a reliable and scalable conferencing platform. For ClarkPowell, it creates a supportable ecosystem that can be deployed, monitored, and maintained across multiple environments.

Technology That Works Before the Meeting Starts

The best meeting technology is the kind users do not have to think about. They walk into the room, start the meeting, share content, and collaborate without needing help.

That is what ClarkPowell helped deliver for the client’s new corporate space in Greensboro.

With Yealink Teams Rooms systems, flexible training room technology, full room audio coverage, wireless content sharing, digital signage, and remote management capabilities, the new spaces are designed to support the way teams work today while giving IT and support teams the visibility they need behind the scenes.

For the client, the project represents another step in a long-term strategy: consistent, reliable, and manageable AV systems across the enterprise.
For ClarkPowell and Yealink, it is a strong example of how the right technology standard, implemented by the right AV partner, can create better collaboration experiences at scale.
