HanesBrands, a global apparel leader, recently relocated its headquarters to a newly renovated facility in downtown Winston-Salem.  The new headquarters needed a consistent, scalable AV approach across dozens of spaces to support hybrid teams and enterprise-wide collaboration. ClarkPowell worked closely with HanesBrands’ IT and facilities teams and the general contractor during the building renovation.

ClarkPowell designed and installed AV systems across 50+ conference and collaboration spaces of varying sizes. HanesBrands needed to integrate a mix of existing technology from its previous headquarters with new, future-ready AV systems while standardizing on Microsoft Teams Rooms across a wide range of space types.

ClarkPowell designed a highly configurable town hall area (above), which is a divisible meeting space. This environment can be reconfigured into multiple room layouts, supporting everything from company-wide meetings to smaller breakout sessions

​Unified Collaboration Across Every Room
Meeting spaces range from small huddle rooms to large boardrooms. The AV solution includes:

• Huddle rooms and small collaboration spaces
• Medium and large conference rooms
• Executive boardrooms
• Break areas and informal meeting zones
• A configurable, large town hall environment designed as a four-way divisible meeting space.
  
• All rooms were standardized on Microsoft Teams Rooms, ensuring a consistent user experience while accommodating a mix of legacy and new equipment.
• Multiple PTZ cameras with a centralized control system
• A dedicated control room for live production and camera switching
• Flexible microphone configurations, including handheld, lavalier, and ceiling microphones
• A Crestron Automate Room enabling camera tracking and switching. This setup allows HanesBrands to run dynamic live events, hybrid meetings, and internal broadcasts with professional-grade production capabilities.

Intelligent Scheduling & Digital Signage
To enhance usability and wayfinding, ClarkPowell deployed:

• Room scheduling panels outside all conference rooms
• Digital signage displays throughout the building

These tools provide real-time room availability, improve meeting flow, and elevate the overall workplace experience.

​The new HanesBrands headquarters now features a fully integrated, future-ready AV environment that delivers a consistent Microsoft Teams experience across more than 50 spaces, highly flexible meeting environments for hybrid and in-person events. With a scalable infrastructure and spaces designed to adapt as needs evolve, HanesBrands now has a smarter, technology-enabled workplace that strengthens collaboration, enhances communication, and empowers its teams to perform at their best.

It was really a pleasure working with Lee, Lance, and the ClarkPowell teams on the AV solutions for our new headquarters location. I was very impressed with their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to quality. The commitment to customer care was obvious throughout their various teams.
