Park Shops Classroom AV Upgrade
NCSU’s Park Shops building needed a major classroom refresh. The existing setup relied on two ceiling-mounted projectors, dual wall screens, and a Smart Monitor in a space that holds 88 students. The Digital Education & Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) wanted a bold upgrade with a modern video wall solution that could deliver bright, sharp visuals for every student.
ClarkPowell partnered with ViewSonic to transform the classroom with next-generation display technology. We installed two 136" ViewSonic All-in-One Direct View LED Video Walls as the primary teaching surfaces, complemented by a 98" ViewSonic display positioned between them for clear visibility from every seat. To ensure seamless operation, our team integrated all displays into the existing Crestron matrix switcher. Four new HDMI output cards were added to drive the LED walls, while the existing receiver was repurposed for the 98" display for efficiency.
The result is that the Park Shops classroom is now equipped with a future-ready AV system that ensures crystal-clear visuals, improved viewing angles, and simplified operations. Students and faculty benefit from a cutting-edge learning environment, while NCSU Delta has a flexible system that’s easy to maintain.

To further enhance the learning environment, ClarkPowell incorporated TruTile™ Acoustic Wall Panels from Middle Atlantic on both the ceiling and walls. These panels reduce echo and improve speech intelligibility, ensuring every student can clearly hear lectures and discussions. The clean, modern finish of TruTile™ also blends seamlessly with the contemporary classroom design, delivering both acoustic performance and aesthetic appeal.
