ClarkPowell first connected with Ziehl-Abegg during our Fusion Tech Expo in Raleigh, where the company sought an advanced video conferencing solution. Our team worked closely with Ziehl-Abegg, visiting various vendor booths at the show to find the perfect solution that aligned with their unique requirements. The primary goal: to create a user-friendly system that would simplify video communication for their international team.
After careful consideration, the Yealink conferencing system was selected to support Ziehl-Abegg's new U.S. headquarters in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The project was a unique opportunity, as it was part of a brand-new building construction. This allowed ClarkPowell to collaborate from the very beginning, ensuring that every detail of the design phase—including the placement of conduit power and data sources—was optimized for a smooth installation process.
A Collaborative Design-Build Approach
The design-build method proved to be incredibly effective for this project. It enabled us to manage the entire process from start to finish, ensuring consistency and efficiency. ClarkPowell’s dedicated account manager conducted a comprehensive assessment to create an infrastructure that would meet Ziehl-Abegg's audiovisual needs. Ziehl-Abegg's headquarters is home to state-of-the-art audiovisual solutions designed to enhance collaboration and productivity across their spaces.
- Large Boardroom: The boardroom features 5 Viewsonic displays, an Aver tracking camera, Biamp ceiling speakers, and an Extron control system—creating a dynamic, high-tech environment for meetings and presentations.
- Dedicated Video Conferencing Room: A key highlight of the headquarters is the dedicated video conferencing room, equipped with a 21:9 Yealink Teams Front Row system displayed on a 105” Viewsonic screen and an arc table. The room also integrates ceiling microphones for full coverage, ensuring optimal audio quality during calls.
- AV over IP System: The building’s AV over IP system allows content to be seamlessly routed to any display within the facility, enabling smooth communication across meeting rooms, boardrooms, and training centers. This cutting-edge solution simplifies content sharing between locations and enables centralized device management, making it easier for the IT team to troubleshoot and update systems remotely.
