Canopy Realtor Association, Charlotte, North Carolina
The new Canopy Realtor® Association headquarters, located at 1120 Pearl Park Way, is a beautiful new facility overlooking downtown Charlotte. The new headquarters is home to the Association, Canopy MLS, Canopy Real Estate Institute and Canopy Housing Foundation. From this location, Canopy is able to provide their members with a wide range of services including professional training and development, member services, a Realtor® store, continuing education, leadership development, access to networks, advocacy, and community outreach and service. Canopy, formerly the Charlotte Regional Realtor® Association, timed the new brand identity with moving into the new headquarters.
Canopy chose ClarkPowell to integrate audio visual technologies throughout the whole facility. We provided solutions for diverse spaces including the rentable training rooms, a large divisible conference center, standard meeting rooms, and an executive boardroom with an adjacent outdoor terrace area. The reception areas all have digital signage and wayfinding, with an impressive mosaic video wall in the main lobby to enhance their brand.

The organization’s previous facility was fairly low-tech, and the goal was to offer current technology standards to their members. All spaces provide high resolution presentation capabilities and conference calling. Key rooms include web-based video conference abilities for Teams, Zoom, WebEx and other platforms. The Boardroom takes this one step further with high quality Poly telepresence. The training facilities allow for streaming and recording of sessions so remote users can join the experience if they cannot be in the room. Open office areas required effective sound masking technology to help minimize employee distractions.
