AV CONTROL SYSTEM PROGRAMMER
Charlotte or Raleigh, NC

 
ClarkPowell is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to write and implement programming code for audiovisual control systems. The position has responsibility for assisting sales and technical operations staff with pre and post-sales control system design, graphical user interface development, software implementation, end user training and the drafting of customer user guides.
 
Job requirements are:
  • 5+ years of experience in programming commercial AV systems, using Crestron Toolbox and other software tools
  • Proficiency in Crestron Simpl Windows and Simpl+
  • Proficiency in Crestron Smart Graphics
  • Proficiency in Crestron XiO setup and implementation
  • Possess a good working knowledge of Crestron DigitalMedia and NVX systems
  • Ability to generate detailed control system diagrams and graphical user interfaces for customer review and approval
  • Must possess advanced system troubleshooting skills
  • Posses a good working knowledge of network topology and configuration for setting up and troubleshooting A/V Systems
  • Possess a good working knowledge of DSP and AV matrix systems setup and configuration (Biamp / QSC)
  • Possess a good working knowledge of videoconference systems setup and configuration (Poly / Cisco / Yealink)
  • Must be Crestron certified
  • Knowledge of Extron system programming (Global Configurator / Global Scripter / Python) is a plus
 
This position requires regional travel in North and South Carolina. 

​ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Winston-Salem, NC

ClarkPowell is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for a variety of A/P functions working with our purchasing, operations, and accounting teams, as well as our vendors.
This is a full-time, Monday - Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) in person position.

Key position requirements are:
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  • General ledger experience including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Knowledge of purchase order system and vendor discount payments
  • Sales and use tax reporting experience
  • Knowledge of 1099 reporting and 1099 documentation
  • Sage software experience a plus
  • Concur expense management software experience a plus
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel preferred (pivot tables and macros)
  • Detail orientated with strong organizational and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adhere to a deadline-driven schedule
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information

Responsibilities include:
  • Review, code and process a variety of invoice types including but not limited to overhead invoices, expense reimbursements, and subcontractor invoices for a multi-location company
  • Review purchase order invoice batches for accuracy
  • Ensure timely vendor invoice payments to take advantage of cash discounts, to avoid interest and late fees, and to adhere to invoice payment terms.
  • Schedule and prepare disbursements via check, electronic payment, or credit card
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and communicating with vendors regarding discrepancies, invoice inquiries, credit memos, and payment status
  • Prepare and distribute monthly employee credit card statements and reconcile to Concur expense management system
  • Various expense account reconciliations
  • Multi-state sales and use tax returns and filings
  • Maintain 1099 and W-9 vendor files
  • Special reports and other responsibilities as assigned or needed

DESIGN ENGINEER
Raleigh, NC


ClarkPowell is looking for an experienced audiovisual design engineer to join our team. This role requires working with sales staff and clients to develop and design solid, audiovisual solutions, and working with our installation team to commission and train.
 
The position requires a professional manner with excellent communication and organizational skills.   
 
Key position requirements are:
  • A good working knowledge of key audiovisual products from major manufacturers, including Crestron, Extron, Kramer, BiAmp, Shure, Polycom, and Vaddio.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD for the development of 2D and 3D drawings for system schematics and mechanical layouts of equipment.
  • Proficiency with Crestron control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layout.
  • Proficiency with modern digital signal processors regarding DSP configuration.
  • Proficiency with sound system acoustics regarding microphone and speaker requirements and placement in sound system environments.
  • Proficiency with video and audio-conferencing systems.
  • Working knowledge of computer networks as they pertain to both IP audio and video signal transport and IP based video / audio conferencing.
  • AVIXA CTS / CTS-D an advantage.
  • Crestron DMC-D / DMC-D-4K an advantage.
 
This position requires regional travel in Eastern North Carolina on an as needed basis and is not a remote position.


LEAD TECHNICIAN
Raleigh - Winston-Salem - Charlotte, NC


ClarkPowell is looking for a highly skilled Audio Visual Lead Technician to lead crews on the installation of professional audio visual equipment. Must have a professional manner with excellent communication skills and take pride in your work. This audio visual position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, sub-contractors, and our clients to complete the project to a high-quality, on time and within budget.

​Key position requirements are:
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision
  • Minimum 5 years experience in audio visual installation
  • Ability to read and implement Electronic CAD designs
  • Ability to read building blue prints
  • Ability to motivate and manage staff and sub-contractors
  • High standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, crimping, and structural installation
  • Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality
  • Videoconference installation and configuration experience a plus
  • AVIXA CTS, CTS-I certified a plus
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certified a plus
 
Regional travel in North and South Carolina. A company van will be provided.
