PROJECT MANAGER (Can be remote or in-office position located in Charlotte, NC)
ClarkPowell is looking for an experienced individual to manage remote and local audiovisual integration projects. Must have a professional manner with excellent organization, time management and communications skills. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of commercial audiovisual project management and a proven history of successful project completions along with manufacturer/industry certifications. This position requires working closely with our Tech Ops team, General Contractors, other trades, and the client to bring the job in on time and on budget while exceeding client’s expectations. Key position requirements are:
Responsible for coordinating resources and project management of all remote and some local deployments
Responsible for obtaining quotes from PSNI affiliates* and others around the country and internationally for remote deployments
Responsible for evaluating potential partners in markets other than North or South Carolina
Responsible for on-time and on-budget installations meeting ClarkPowell’s strict safety and quality standards
Working directly with our clients and partners to establish project timeline and anticipated completion date
Reviewing drawings, submittals, and bid documents for understanding of scope and to detect omissions, corrections, clarifications
Attend all necessary contractor/client meetings
Confirm and review staged equipment prior to installation and configuration
Coordinate ship dates of all project-related equipment and confirm arrival prior to remote installation
Must have knowledge of construction rules and codes related to AV and low-voltage systems
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects
Able to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
Must be conversant with Microsoft Office
This position may involve infrequent national travel

DESIGN ENGINEER Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC
ClarkPowell is looking for an experienced audiovisual design engineer to join our team. The role requires working with sales staff and clients to develop and design solid, audiovisual solutions, and working with our installation team to commission and train.
The position requires a professional manner with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key position requirements are:
A good working knowledge of key audiovisual products from major manufacturers including Crestron, Extron, Kramer, BiAmp, Shure, Polycom and Vaddio.
Proficiency with AutoCAD for the development of 2D and 3D drawings for system schematics and mechanical layouts of equipment.
Proficiency with Crestron control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layout.
Proficiency with modern digital signal processors regarding DSP configuration.
Proficiency with sound system acoustics regarding microphone and speaker requirements and placement in sound system environments.
Proficiency with video and audio-conferencing systems.
Working knowledge of computer networks as they pertain to both IP audio and video signal transport and IP based video / audio conferencing.
AVIXA CTS / CTS-D an advantage.
Crestron DMC-D / DMC-D-4K an advantage.
This position can be in office or remote but requires ability to travel in NC/SC for onsite testing/commissioning and field support when necessary.
LEAD TECHNICIAN Charlotte, NC
ClarkPowell is looking for a highly skilled Audio Visual lead technician in the Charlotte area to be a team player able to lead crews on the installation of professional audio visual equipment. Must have a professional manner with excellent communication skills, and take pride in your work. This audio visual position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, sub contractors and our clients to complete the project to a high-quality, on time and within budget.
Key position requirements are:
Must be self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision
Minimum 5 years experience in AV installation
Ability to read and implement Electronic CAD designs
Ability to read building blue prints
Ability to motivate and manage staff and subcontractors
High standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering and crimping
Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality
Videoconference installation and configuration experience a plus
AVIXA (formally InfoComm) CTS, CTS-I certified a plus
OSHA 10 or 30 certified a plus
This position requires regional travel in North and South Carolina. Company van provided.
