The Charlotte Business Journal's Heavy Hitters Commercial Real Estate Awards program recognizes the region's top developments of the past year. The Wells Fargo office at 300 South Brevard Street, Charlotte was the winning project for the Top Space Build Out Award 2020.
Wells Fargo fast tracked the update of all 8 floors of office space to make way for increased local head count by renovating the former AT&T plaza building built in 1994.
The new office space was an opportunity to build a prototype-free addressing environment that could double the number of employees occupying the available number of seats. Each floor has six neighborhoods to which an employee might be assigned - all with highly reconfigurable work spaces. The space includes a large configurable conference room and dining area with full commercial kitchen and guest chef food services.
ClarkPowell was selected to assist with the design and integration of the over 215 audiovisual systems in the facility. Every conference room has Cisco video conferencing capabilities for team collaboration. The conference center floor also includes a 4-way divisible space with multiple display presentation and large event capabilities.
