CASE STUDY
City of Danville, Virginia
ClarkPowell is a long-term partner with the City of Danville and has installed all of their audiovisual equipment in City Hall – from video cameras and microphones in council chambers and conference rooms to digital signage.
ClarkPowell recently completed a broadcast upgrade for the city of Danville and Danville Fire Department Emergency Operations Center.
The audiovisual upgrade included installing 12 Panasonic video cameras that are all networked utilizing the Network Device Interface (NDI) standard through the client’s NETGEAR AV switch. This allows any of the camera feeds to be routed to any destination, meaning that the local government meetings can all be live streamed to the internet allowing the citizens to watch and partake in meetings.
All of the cameras feed into the Tricaster which has created the ability to run remote meetings enabling overflow rooms and social distancing during the Covid pandemic.
