CASE STUDY
Embassy Suites by Hilton, Charleston Harbor, South Carolina
ClarkPowell was contracted to partner with Prime Structured Cabling by high recommendation of Extron to install a distributed audio system throughout the Embassy Suites Hotel by Hilton Charleston Harbor Mt. Pleasant, SC. The system includes over 80 indoor and outdoor speakers providing ambient background music to the public areas of the property. Audio coverage can be enjoyed in the lobby and reception areas, dining room, bar, fitness center, restrooms, outdoor courtyard and pool deck.
The hotel boasts expansive conference and event spaces totaling 6,089 sq ft. These areas include a total of 5 separate meeting rooms and a 3,364 sq. ft. ballroom accommodating up to 300 people. The larger conference room and ballroom have their own independent room audio systems.
There are two central racks connected with fiber that house the Digital Signal Processors, Matrix Routers and Amplifiers. The main rack houses a master Extron touch panel for full control over the entire hotel’s audio levels. Each speaker was selected individually based on its engineered location to ensure guests of the hotel can enjoy the music while still being able to enjoy the company of others in the common areas.
ClarkPowell provided the programming for the digital signal processing (DSP) and touch panel controllers in addition to the testing, training and commissioning of the system.
